About
I work with individuals and families, but most of my work has been with couples, focusing on helping partners repair trust, improve communication, and reconnect emotionally. I provide a warm and balanced space where both partners feel heard and respected. My role is not to take sides or assign blame, but to help you understand one another more clearly, interrupt painful patterns, and build skills that strengthen trust and connection. I have helped many couples overcome communication breakdowns, infidelity, betrayal trauma, pornography addiction, and loss of connection. I have seen many relationships stabilize and move toward repair—even when facing a planned divorce. I believe meaningful change is possible without starting over with a new partner.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a high school teacher and school counselor. My experience in that field gave me a deep appreciation for the unique challenges families face. I earned my undergraduate degree from BYU in Provo, UT, and my Master's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in Houston, TX. I have studied Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gottman, and Written Exposure Therapy. I continue to deepen my skills through training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I bring 26 years of marriage and the experience of raising four children to this work. When you’re ready, I would be honored to support you in moving toward greater clarity and a deeper connection in your relationship.
